The Waiting Game

This project explores utilizing architectural and urban design gestures to re think the experience of arriving at and waiting for a doctor’s appointment and how it can be improved with active moment and technology.

Seaport Library

Proposal Project for a new New York Public Library on a vacant lot in the South Street Seaport District on NYC. The overall idea is create a community centered space that provides resources and having rentable event spaces that would generate reoccurring revenue to fund those community resources.

Life Tower

Proposal Project for an extension wing to a NYCHA high rise located in the Sugar Hill neighborhood on NYC. The design includes new apartment spaces, varied building amenities and commercial spaces that center around healthy living for use by residents of the building and nearby NYCHA properties.

Revitalizing the Roofscape at Pioneer Works

Pioneer Works located in Red Hook, Brooklyn had plans to put solar panels on their roof with unused space near the egress stairs.. This slatted design above the central staircase core aims to create a private communal space for lunch and happy hours for the hardworking staff of this non-profit cultural center.

Scenic Design for Orestes 2.0

This set design is for the Charles Mee contemporary adaptation of Euripides’ Orestes. The play itself takes place during war time and the set is designed to be a makeshift hospital on the front law on an abandoned West Palm Beach Mansion.

Crunch Zone: Helmet Design

The original logic was to create a “crunch zone” so that the helmet takes most of the force if the wearer happens to fall and hit their head. The idea was developed to be similar in fashion to how modern cars today have engineered structural failure points designed to crunch to take most of the force in the case of an accident.

Blue Square Productions: Office Lighting Design

The lighting concept was to make an ambiance in this illuminated space but in a softer way than a traditional corporate floor industrial lighting design.

Seascape: Theater Lighting Design

The design visually emphasizes the concept that life is literally bright and full of possibilities. The set design was a vibrant tropical beach setting because a tropical beach and the lighting design and cues were meant to emphasize a sense of calmness as well as bursting with life in various colors during different parts of the play.

Illumimoment: Form Design Through Movement

Derived from a movement study based on a photograph from Robert Longo’s “Men in the Cities” series. this interactive sculpture is meant to create a movement disassociation for the user with the environment around them.
